Hurtin' Me Baby

Release date: May 15, 2026

“Hurtin’ Me Baby” by the Krayolas is an unplugged, unabashed homage to Bob Dylan just in time for his 85th birthday on May 24. It’s one of the acclaimed new tracks on “Barbed Wire Road.”

“Hurtin’ Me Baby” follows the success on SiriusXM Outlaw Country channel of “Surf’s Down,” “Under One Roof” and “Exit Salida.”

“Exit Salida,” which features Augie Meyers on Vox organ, Flaco Jimenez and the West Side Horns, peaked at No. 18 on SiriusXM Outlaw Country Top 100 Most Played Songs in early 2026. In the reporting period from March 7, 2026 to May 7, 2026, heavy rotation airplay for “Exit Salida” on satellite radio kept the upbeat outlaw-garage song in the Top 40 Most Played Songs on Outlaw Country (Source: XM playlist.com).

The Krayolas have enjoyed drive-time airplay on such Outlaw Country channel programs as Elizabeth Crook’s Apron Strings, The Sunny Side of Life with Sunny Sweeney, Outlaw Country with Paula Nelson, Steve Earle’s Hard Core Troubadour, The Buddy & Jim Show and Dallas Wayne in Outlaw Country.

“Hurtin’ Me Baby” showcases drummer David Saldana on lead vocals and songwriter Hector Saldana on acoustic guitar and harmonica.

Formed in 1975, the Krayolas are known as the Tex-Mex Beatles and play garage-rock and outlaw-garage music. They can be heard on Little Steven’s Underground Garage channel 21 and Outlaw Country channel 62 on SiriusXM Satellite Radio.
